Why this exists

You were taught the rules. You were never shown the watch.
The exams assume a conversation with a senior officer that, for most of us, never happened.

Nobody hands you a written procedure for how to take over a watch at 0345 in traffic, what to check before you accept the con, or what the Master actually wants to be called for. You learn it by being lucky with your seniors — or you learn it the hard way. This course is that conversation, in the order a voyage really happens.

📕

Not another rulebook

COLREGs and SOLAS are on your ship already. What is missing is what a competent officer does with them at 0345 in traffic.

🧭

In voyage order

Preparation, departure, the passage, the watch, arrival — the sequence you will live, not a syllabus sorted by subject.

🎙️

From someone still sailing

Taught by a serving Second Officer, in the words a senior would actually use on the bridge wing.

Read this before you pay

Being built, in the order you'd sail it.

This is an honest page, so here is exactly where the course stands today. You are enrolling in something that is still being made — which is the only reason it is ₱3,250 and not ₱17,000.

Watchable today

16 lessons · 2 h 18 min

  • Chapter 00 — Introduction: how this mentorship works (4 lessons)
  • Chapter 01 — Foundations: the ground you stand on (7 lessons)
  • Chapter 02 — The bridge and your instruments (5 of 9 so far)
  • Every one a finished film, playable the minute you enrol
In production

16 more chapters · 96 lessons

  • Ship handling, the bridge team, departure and arrival
  • The watch itself — coastal, open sea, ocean
  • GMDSS, weather, emergencies, anchoring, port state
  • Bulk, tanker and container lanes for your ship type
What that means for you. You pay once, today, at the price it costs while it is being built — and every chapter lands in your account as it is finished, at no extra cost, for the whole two years. If you would rather wait until it is complete, that is a fair choice: it will be priced as a finished course by then.
The full voyage

19 chapters. 112 lessons.

The complete plan, exactly as it sits in the app — including what is still in production. Nothing here is padding: every chapter is one part of the same single voyage.

Who is teaching

A serving Second Officer, not a retired lecturer.

Someone who stood the watch this contract — who knows what the Master will call you about at 0200, which alarm you will learn to ignore and why that is the dangerous one, and what a pilot expects to find when he steps onto your bridge.

Simplified Maritime has taught Filipino officers on Facebook for years, and the Navigators Club community is now more than 1,900 seafarers. Port to Port is that same voice, written down properly and filmed.

Built for a ship

A ship's connection is not a connection.

Most courses assume you are ashore on wifi. This one assumes you are three days off the coast with a satellite link you have been told not to waste.

Questions

Good to know

How much of the course is finished?

Sixteen lessons — about two hours and twenty minutes — are complete and watchable the moment you enrol: the introduction, the whole Foundations chapter, and five of the nine lessons on the bridge and its instruments. The other sixteen chapters are in production and appear in your account as each one is finished, at no extra cost. That unfinished state is the reason the price is ₱3,250 rather than ₱17,000.

When will the rest be released?

Chapters are filmed and released in voyage order, and we publish each one the week it is finished rather than promising a date we might miss. Your two years of access begins the day you enrol and comfortably covers the build.

Is this a certificate or STCW course?

No. It's honest peer-to-peer mentorship from a serving officer. It confers no certificate and no endorsement, and it doesn't replace your company's SMS or the officer teaching you onboard. It's the conversation the certificates assume you already had.

How long do I keep access?

Two years from the day you enrol — one payment, no subscription. Everything released in that window is yours to watch and re-watch as often as you like.

Can I study offline?

Yes. Download the videos in port on the Android app and watch them mid-ocean. The whole app is built offline-first for a ship's connection.

Who is it for?

Entry to intermediate — cadets, new OOWs, and anyone who knows the theory but wants to know how the watch actually runs. There are dedicated lanes for bulk, tanker and container ships.

How do I pay?

Tap Enrol now and scan the QR Ph code with GCash, Maya or any bank app — your access unlocks by itself, usually within a minute. Paying from outside the Philippines? PayPal is $50. And if you would rather send the money to a person, we can enrol you by hand. You create a free Seaman App account with the same email and the course unlocks.
